Schools out for summer + that means lots of long, hot days with not much to do around our house (especially when the heat index is 122 degrees). So, honestly, when we're not migrating towards some type of body of water, we usually spend our days reading or watching movies with the blinds closed in an attempt to survive yet another Georgia summer. Since we finally finished my seven year olds room though (a 4 month long labor of love), I decided to let a little sunshine in + document one of our favorite summer activities (reading in our PJs at 2 in the afternoon). I'm making an effort to photograph my own family more this summer so I don't look back one day + realize that I can't remember their favorite poems, or what their rooms looked like at this age. I encourage you all to do the same. Capture the little moments. Take pictures inside of your home, even when the laundry needs to be folded + the baseboards need to be cleaned. In a few years, you will be so happy you did.
And what would summer be if you weren't constantly being interrupted by your four year old sister?
